Kilo Lounge presents: (the lab) with Giuseppe G & DJ-SiFi

(the lab) is a collaboration between DJ-SiFi and Giuseppe G

The pair met in 2002 shortly after Giuseppe arrived from Rome, & found they had a mutual interest in edgy, forward thinking house & techno. Fast forward ten years, following the frustration of Singapore’s small & limited house & techno scene, the pair were offered a weekly Thursday residency at the now defunct Hyde bar. With a view to establish an Asian electronic canvas to experiment deep house & tech styles, (the lab) was born.

Coupling Giuseppe G’s Italian flair & no nonsense edginess, with DJ-SiFi’s old skool British roots for electronica spanning the last thirty years, the duo’s complimentary tastes seamlessly dovetail together & form the foundation for their highly acclaimed & love for marathon seven hour sets (Kilo / SG F1).

(the lab) has played with James What (Crosstown rebels / Poker Flat), Danny Rampling, Sassy (Watergate), Seb Fontaine, and Jadele (exploited records). As residents for Kilo Lounge’s new Tanjong Pagar home, the pair has played the majority of the local electronic music scene institutions – Kilo, Cato, Kyo, Canvas, The Vault, Zouk, Kinki, Mansion, Mariko’s, Avalon, Lucky 13 & Singapore F1, (the lab) has been & done it.

Individually, they’ve played Beijing, Guanghzou, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Phuket, & as guest DJs for Zig Zach’s 2016 boat parties, Sunday Sessions, & Dan Paris’ legendary Digging Deep nights. 2017 looks exciting – to be confirmed gigs in Hong Kong & Thailand, as well as Giuseppe G branching out to experiment music production - 2017 is going to raise the bar more than a few notches, but also further afield.
