For Deetron music is everything – It’s in his DNA, thanks to his father who plays double bass, and it’s this unrelenting passion from which he created a new outlet for in the form of his own imprint "Character".
His productions retain a familiar ‘Deetron sound’ at their core, yet he can happily skip from sultry vocals & dainty chords to tougher compositions. There’s no contrived approach to his music, just a natural progression that stems from his broad musical palette & an innate desire to avoid becoming stagnant. Most interesting was the transitional phase Deetron currently found himself in, with the vocal element of his music coming to the fore and injecting a new wave of excitement into his production process. His second album Music Over Matter consists of a collection of dancefloor-ready tracks featuring a whole host of special guests such as Hercules & Love Affair, Seth Troxler, Ovasoul, George Maple, Ben Westbeech aka Breach, Fritz Kalkbrenner and more.
In 2015 Deetron delivered an impressive series of remixes ranging from Tiga & Huxley to Headless Ghost and even Jose Padilla. The third release on Character, “The Believer”, comes from Deetron himself and is a tribute to Chicago and Detroit. Stepping into 2016 Deetron lined up more profilic remixes but the Swiss also had a series of own productions scheduled alongside some exciting collaborations & projects.
