Asia Pole Championship 2017 is an international pole dance competition organised by SLAP Dance Studio to positively promote and celebrate pole dance as an athletic performance art. World-class female and male pole champions will compete live in Singapore. Contenders will be credited for their exquisite dance techniques, creativity, elegance and showmanship. It will be a day of spectacles, where you will see the best of pole dancing, where grace meets strength, where aspirations come to life.
The first ever APC held at the University Cultural Center Theater on 27 February 2016 received a standing ovation and was a sold out event. Competitive female dancers around the world, incuding United States, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore took our breath away with their gutsy split drops, gravity defying acrobatics and artistic dance.
APC 2017 steps up the competition to include male pole atheletes where both gender contend as equals. The inaugural event will be emceed by the renowned Chilli Rox, who have hosted and headlined for major pole competitions in Asia Pacific. The star-studded panel of judges are well-established pole artistes – Natasha Wang (International Pole Champion 2013), Carlie Hunter (Miss Pole Dance Australia 2016) and Adam Lin (Pole Dance Champion 2016). Natasha and Adam will grace the stage with special guest performances at the live show. Natasha, Adam, Miss Filly and Chilli Rox will be teaching dance workshops at SLAP Dance
