[NTU CCA Singapore]
Residencies OPEN offers a rare insight into the often introverted sphere of the artist studios. The featured Artists-in-Residence during Art After Dark are Bui Cong Khanh (Vietnam), Carlos Casas (Spain/France), Kent Chan (Singapore), Michael Lee (Singapore), Min Thein Sung (Myanmar), Jacqueline Hoang Nguyen (Canada/Sweden) and Robert Zhao Renhui (Singapore).

NTU CCA Singapore presents The Current Convening #3, organised together with Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary–Academy (TBA21–Academy) during Singapore Art Week 2018. There will be lectures, talks and performances taking place during Art After Dark (more details TBC).

[Special Programmes]
- Launch of DISINI (7pm – 11pm)
DISINI is a curated festival consisting of a series of events, art exhibitions and public engagements. Spurred by its locale, DISINI borrows its name from the Malay adverb ‘di sini’, meaning ‘over here’. The first phase of DISINI will open during Art After Dark, with the launch of commissioned public artworks and an architectural pavilion.

- KOBO, The Art of Making (Blk 7 Level 1, 12pm – 10pm)
Organised by Supermama, the exhibition will present the works of 20 selected crafts facilities from Japan. The highlight of the show – the KOBO Collection – features the collaborative works of 4 Singapore designers with 10 crafts facilities from the Kanto region in Japan. There will also be workshops and demonstrations.

-KOBO, Thoughtful Design, Authentic Craftsmanship
Featuring an introduction of 10 different traditional crafts from the Kanto Area in Japan and ranging from bamboo weaving to cast iron, Supermama hopes to open a channel for both consumers and designers to access quality materials and craft.

[Art Outreach, Blk 47 #01-24]
Collaborative Mural with Merryn Trevethan. The artist will be leading a mural-making activity. People are free to drop in and collaborate with her in creating a free-form mural with washi-tape.

Art Link Community Programme Exhibition. Art Outreach will be launching a children’s art exhibition as part of their Art Link community programme. There will also be quick, fun and simple drawing activities suitable for all ages.
