Come listen to YST’s Associate Professor Qin Li-Wei performing with the Conservatory Orchestra and Yang Yang, Principal Conductor of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Hangzhou Philharmonic, one of YST’s partnering orchestras. Barber’s dark and challenging Cello Concerto, a work composed during World War 2, is coupled here with Rachmaninoff’s luscious and popular symphony from the opening of the century.
