Our animals are an integral part of our family, deeply bonded and unconditionally loving. And we are not taught how to navigate this inevitable transition, how to process the seemingly unending feeling of loss we feel, or hold space for our animals during their final moments.
Our journey with Hope has taught us multiple life lessons about ourselves.
One of them is unconditional love.
And this doesn't come easy. We have our own judgments, fears and beliefs while our animal companions love us for who we are, regardless if we are poor, sick or ugly.
Because it requires us to strip away our old habits and patterns, layer by layer, in order for our love to shine.
